摘要: Interactions is at the heart of all educational transactions. In this presentation I exam the key role of interactions in learning - with a key focus on ways to measure, assess and substitute amongst student-student, student-content and student-teacher interaction. I also examine social and pedagogical structures that we have evolved to maximize interaction effectiveness, while containing costs in both campus and online based contexts. The work draws on my earlier work developing and authenticating the Community of Inquiry model with its focus on social, teaching and cognitive presence. It briefly looks at my Interaction Equivalency Model and ends with a brief over of our new open access monograph Teaching the Crowd: Social media and learning。
